CLA Launches Major Advocacy Campaign Supporting Middle Class Tax Cuts

Washington – The Conservative Leadership Alliance, legally known as CLA, Inc, today launched its latest phase of a major issue advocacy campaign supporting middle class tax cuts. The campaign will run in five districts nationwide: KY-06 (Barr), NE-02 (Bacon), CA-45 (Walters), Paulsen (MN-03), and NC-02 (Holding).

In December, Congress passed historic tax cuts, which are saving middle class families thousands of dollars. Now, Leader Pelosi is promising to roll back the tax cuts, reversing significant progress and taking away hard-earned money from families. As Pelosi calls for hiking taxes, and Republicans consider making permanent certain cuts that would help the Middle Class, CLA is calling on Members of Congress to stand strong for the Middle Class tax cuts.

“The historic tax cuts put more money in the pockets of hard-working middle class families,” said CLA Treasurer Marc Himmelstein. “Those families are keeping more now and saving more for retirement later. We’re encouraging constituents all across America to call their Member of Congress to support the passed tax cuts, make key cuts permanent, and to block the Pelosi tax hike.”

The ads will run on broadcast TV in four districts, on cable TV in CA-45, and substantial digital advertising will run in all of the districts.

CLA Launches Major Issue Advocacy Campaign Supporting Tax Reform & Opposing New Effort to Raise Taxes

WASHINGTON – CLA, Inc., the Conservative Leadership Alliance, today launched a substantial issue advocacy campaign educating voters about the positive impact of tax reform and the new plan by Democrat leaders to roll back these tax cuts, and asking them to call their Member of Congress to oppose this new proposed tax hike.

The first part of the campaign, a substantial television and digital campaign in North Carolina’s 3rd congressional district, will run from March 27th to April 6th. It is one piece of a broader issue advocacy campaign launching soon in multiple districts.

President Trump has been fighting to grow the economy and this new proposed tax hike would roll back major economic progress made this year. Unfortunately, Congressman Walter Jones has opposed President Trump’s agenda time and again, from repealing Obamacare to opposing the middle-class tax cuts. According to the New York Times vote tracker, Jones has opposed Trump’s agenda more than any other Republican in Congress.

“Given Congressman Walter Jones’ continued opposition to cutting taxes and supporting President Trump’s agenda, we are worried he may very well support the Democrats’ proposed tax hike, said CLA, Inc. Treasurer Marc Himmelstein. “North Carolina constituents need to hold Congressman Jones’ feet to the fire by calling his office and imploring him to start supporting President Trump’s agenda and oppose the Democrats’ so-called ‘Jobs & Infrastructure Plan.’”

CLA EXPANDS TAX REFORM ISSUE ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN INTO MULTIPLE DISTRICTS

WASHINGTON – CLA, Inc., the Conservative Leadership Alliance, today launched the second phase of a substantial issue advocacy campaign educating voters about the positive impact of tax reform and the new plan by Democrat leaders to roll back these tax cuts, and asking them to call their Member of Congress to oppose this new proposed tax hike.

This second phase, substantial television and digital campaigns in Alabama’s 2nd congressional district and Oklahoma’s 2nd congressional district, will begin running April 9th.

President Trump has been fighting to grow the economy and this new proposed tax hike would roll back major economic progress made this year. Fortunately, Congresswoman Martha Roby and Congressman Markwayne Mullin, have been rock-solid supporters of President Trump’s agenda time and again, from rolling back Obamacare-era regulations to passing historic middle-class tax cuts.

“When President Trump’s needed allies in Congress to pass his agenda, these Members of Congress have answered the call time and again,” said CLA, Inc. Treasurer Marc Himmelstein. “Constituents in Alabama and Oklahoma should call and thank Rep.’s Roby and Mullin for standing up for President Trump’s agenda, and ask them to keep fighting for tax reform by opposing the Democrats’ so-called ‘Jobs & Infrastructure Plan.’”
